Hello,

I am a new french member . As consequence excuse me for bad english in our futur discussions.

I have a first question :

Is there somebody using a venerable CCD Starlight MX916 like me? Up to now I used it on a so venerable PC with windows 98 but this old PC has  low performances and become each day less reliable.

I want to know if it is possible to use MX916 with more "recent" DOS and mainly with windows XP.

Is it possible with the native Strarlight soft or by using an other CCD soft like Maxim DL (essential version) or AstroArt (which version?)

Thank you in advance dear astronomers.

Hi there

Welcome to EMS

I am running an MX916 on Windows XP pro.

I use Maxim DL as the control program.

It will also run on the native Starlight software as well.

It is a bit of a pain to get up and running but once sorted it is a brilliant CCD.
