At last we've had the longest day! 😎

Light nights are on the wane! 👌

Before you know it, it will be dark at 4.30pm again. Yippee!

So cheer up, the long dark nights are coming! 😄

While we are waiting for it, it would be nice to enjoy a bit of summer. Today wasn't bad for February. :)

Don't let the clouds know that, Stephen.

They are nasty, spiteful creatures and will hover over your scope all next winter. :D

I hope it clears up soon! Not had the chance to really test my scope yet!

Venus was bright in the sky the other day but it fell too low when it finally got dark.

You should see the planets phase just as well in the daylight. :)

Just keep the scope from pointing near the sun.

I hope the nasty clouds don't read your comments Richard! ðŸ˜Šâ˜ºï¸ Or they will hover over both our scopes 😇

It is easier to view and photograph before it gets dark. Before I discovered filters, I often used sunglasses to view Venus and Jupiter!

My favourite time of year is late summer. In winter, I don't get so much chance to see the Sun. If it's dark around 9.30 I get to see the Sun and have some dark sky before bedtime, too.
