Solar Scope or not?

I have a SW Skymax-90 f1/1250, and I have made a solar filter for it, I have just seen a video on Yooutube where it was said that a Cassagrain was not a good choice as it will overheat?

Is this information correct?

If your filter is fitted to the front of the scope that cuts down the radiation entering the scope so it will not overheat. However solar wedges, quark eyepieces etc fit on the visual back and require clear apeture, reflectors will overheat.

I 've used a front end filter for the 127mm version of your 'scope and had no problems with overheating.

I've had some problems with photography because solar photography needs squeaky clean optics.

Not true, my optics are dirty enough to grow small spuds but I've not had any issues with imaging through it, however ALL photography is easier with clean optics where possible.
