Hi all,

I talked to Ann Bonell at the Leicester Astronomical Society last night and she is happy for me to post her regular info emails onto the EMS. I'll start that from now on, including any Leicester specific stuff I come across.

Regards

Steve

From Ann:

I know that many of you already participate in Stargazers Lounge but Steve Healey has asked me to draw your attention to East Midlands Stargazers forumhttp://www.eastmidla...omical-society/. Steve has put a link in on the site to post info about LAS. There is also a Central Midlands Stargazers forum.

Ann

Nice one Steve - but the link needs to go to the ".org.uk" site - the ".co.uk" one has expired. :)

Not heard from Steve for a while so I shall fill in and post any Leicester related info here if that's OK

This has died sooner than I Thought it would. L A S is still meeting once a fortnight at the National Space Centre with new members joining regularly. With having a web page and Facebook page maybe this one is a step too far, but on the other hand this may reach like minded folk from a wider field.

Hi Melvin - Steve gave up astronomy some time ago now due to work commitments so he no longer updates this page. Do you have the LAS web page link? Would you care to post it here please? Cheers :)

Anyone who is associated with LAS is welcome to take over the reins, just pm me and we can set it up for you to moderate the LAS board. It's there for your use.

Hi Kim sorry I have taken so long to reply I have been busy tackling other astronomy related things such as trying to get BYEOS onto my Toughbook, still not managed it although I got it onto my HPLaptop but really want it on the Toughbook. Still I'll get there. Anyway no I don't have the LAS web link sorry.
