Witch Head Nebula (IC2118)

Recommended Posts

New data from last night totalling 2 hours 20 mins, White light images with unmodified Nikon DSLR in 10 min subs at 800 iso

Originally intended to add this to the earlier subs but made a boo boo with camera orientation although close it proved better to keep the new subs as stand-alone.
This time processed in PI and tweaked in PS by adding layers and layer masks to lift the nebula

Ron / Steve - Many thanks for the comments

Steve - I used a full frame Nikon DSLR with my Altair Astro 115 EDT-APO. The image has been cropped slightly in length , more so width-wise, but that's just for framing. Probably get a similar framing with a 400mm lens on an APS size chip
