Lovely and sharp, and the surface looks granulated like you've been using a hydrogen alpha filter.


 


Interesting the two sets of spots which are transiting are so similar, almost symmetrical though one set are smaller.


 


Really nice.

That's a fantastic shot Paul :) I like a good solar image. Agree with James on the granulation effect. Is that something you do in PS? As I assume in white light this doesn't show?? Really good image. I've not ever gone down the route of getting solar film or ever really looking at the in through any kind of filtered/dedicated scope.

It's not added, the granulation and faculae do show, increasing contrast enhances them.

Cool thanks :) so adding the colour and adjusting contrast reveals what has already been captured then. Foo stuff
