Skywatcher AZ-EQ6 Sold ; Looking at Discmount DM-6

Well...... a small part of me is sad to it go.

If i had my own observatory things would be different. But i really can't see me going down that route, especially considering my location here....the light pollution is awful.

I've now worked my way through 3 equatorial mounts.

I'm tired of humping heavyweight mounts up and down the garden, counterweights, cables, power cells, whirring motors, polar aligning, levelling,

plasticy handsets (that i can't see in the dark) and all the rest.

I'm done with it.

Its a half hour job faffing around before i even get to check out the dodgy seeing conditions that await me.

I often come home from work when i'm on lates wanting to observe, but am put off with the hassle of setting up. It's a struggle, and its preventing me from doing what i really want to do : observing with the scopes that i have. I end up using my binocs instead.

So, i've decided to go back to basics.

Enter the Discmount DM-6.

Coming soon.......................................

Excellent way to cut down set up times Rob.

Don't think you'll find a better alt-az. It should be a real pleasure to use :)
