What a fab Night!

Well last night was one of those rare nights where it all comes together. The weather, equipment, guiding and everything in between.

I intended to stick with just the one target but got carried away with the excellent conditions and ended up starting 4 ;)

Anyway after 10 hours over 23/11/14 and 24/11/14 heres what I have so far. Thanks for looking.

Usual stuff:
SW Equinox 80 APO and SW Field Flattener, EQ5 Pro Synscan GOTO.
Guiding: SW 9x 50 finder guider and QHY5.
Modded Canon 600D with CLS clip filter.
Using: BYEOS, PHD, DSS, Photoshop CC.

Someone's been busy :D  Super shots Vicky!

I tried the horsehead and M1 a couple of weeks back and got a fuzzy blob for the crab and nothing on my horse head... mostly put it down to poor seeing and some equipment issues! Field flattener and guiding required for one... Yours are super... and that M42 is great! Well done!   :)

hope you don't mind Vicky but i had a stab at lowering the noise on the horse head and flame as it`s one of my fav images at the moment,

exactly the same image as yours but all i did was a little lightening and a gradient noise remover, ximagic denoiser mp, mines the older version 3.2.11, works a few wonders on my images and took 2 minutes and you can see the difference it made to the smoothness.

Thanks everyone. I don't mind at all Rob, that looks much less noisy will look into the program, thank you. I will be adding more data to the last 3 images as soon as I get another decent night, with the weather it might be a while though! :)

Strewth, you have been busy. For me, I really like the wide field shots, and M42 is a cracker. I'll bet you are pleased with them. :)

Thanks all, I certainly had a lot of fun that night. Just now have to wait for another clear night to get more data for all the projects I started that night!

Yesterday night started promising but it was like pea soup after an hour so packed up and came in, so today I decided to reprocess M42 from last week to try and do a better job processing the core, I think I succeeded and I will resist the urge to do any more to it :)

Love the finished M42.

Worth sending it in to Astronomy Now or BBC Sky at Night magazines.

It would be a strong contender for their monthly gallery images i reckon  :)
