The size of this image is simply mind boggling.


40%  longer exposure time than Hubble for example.  1.03 gig tiff. 


 


Click on the larger image and be swept away by the sheer beauty of Orion,


I have never seen before.

That is very good indeed. I had planned to do something similar myself a couple of years back, 2 years on and I am still thinking about starting :lol: Seems they have beat me to it and done it far more justice than I could ever do it.

Incredible image. I get excited seeing a few wisps of nebulosity through the eyepiece. To see how much is really out there, well, wow!

Jaw dropping! Inspirational! Very ambitious of them to attempt this, but they pulled it off big style!
