Daz Type-R Posted March 28, 2015 Share Posted March 28, 2015 It was a really good night, the weather played ball (mostly) and for those of us camped outside we had a steady stream of people coming for a look all night. Received numerous WOW comments when I stuck the 2x Powermate and 13mm TV Ethos on the moon, at 185x magnification it looked fantastic! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
BAZ Posted March 28, 2015 Share Posted March 28, 2015 It was a very enjoyable night, and the seeing was mostly quite good. The Moon and Jupiter had a few jaws on the floor. I started by showing them the Moon at a low magnification in the Baader zoom, and then cranked up the magnification. I reckon we got a few hooked! Being outside, I didn't get to see all the other stuff going off, I missed the talk and I didn't see Ibbo again after six o'clock, but it went down well with those who attended. I did go the next night and got to see Paul Money and the Moon and Meteorite samples. It was an immense effort from Mike and the staff at the school, these events just get better.
