Holy cow looking good graham  are you putting one of those fast stars on the front? With its 28% more light gathering abilities,

Fantastic Graham, is it going to be an 18" F4? ?

Can't wait to see some actual photos of the build.

No going to be a CCD at prime focus and the same the other end for cass mode

It has changed a bit since I did this.

The main body is now wider tapering down to the mirror cell to improve the structural stiffness.

It is f 4.5 in this mode and f 12 in Cass mode.

Should be starting the build in the spring.

This may be a stupid question, but how do you know where to put the secondary is it a set measurement from mirror face to secondary face   depending on size of mirror and F value of mirror

Exactly right.

The main difference being is there is no secondary on this scope just a camera in this mode.

When in Cass mode the  secondary mirror holder will fit into the focuser from  inside of the scope.

This will then give me an infinite number of focus positions for different cameras.

How do you focus the camera graham obviously you need a bit of play, do you move the  primary mirror Or does the spider vane housing have a  bit of play in it .
