cosmic dave Posted August 12, 2015 Share Posted August 12, 2015 Well its day two of camp Perseid, 5 pitches taken last night and more on the way throughout the week. Site nice and dark. Darker and less people on the field than ems3 strangely?? Anyway semi cloudy night but plenty of gaps and plenty of Perseids seen. cosmic dave Posted August 13, 2015 Author Share Posted August 13, 2015 Cheers martyn, last night was brilliant loads of Perseids. spotted one absolutely massive one that lit up half the sky with a 15 sec smoke trail and one bust of about 8 meteors in 30 secs. The similar sounding one we saw had a bulging midsection in the "smoke" [ionisation] trail that persisted glowing green for some time afterwards... Was buzzing after that one!
