Our nearest and dearest star has been rather quiet of late. Yesterday I was not able to see a single prominence in my Coronado PST. Quite often, I don't see one but I see some in my images.


 


However, for a nice change, there is some activity visible in "white light".  I haven't achieved perfection but I'm getting a little bit nearer with my Skymax 127 and Nikon D3200. The great thing about the D3200 is that you can clean the sensor using the menu. For solar imaging, one's optics at the business end need to be squeaky clean.

In the past, I've also done webcamming but am having Windows issues that I hope to sort out soon.
