This is my first go of the season but I'm planning a few further goes.

I took this last night using a wider field and longer exposure. I felt this was an improvement on the last attempt and was surprised to get a result this good with a waxing gibbous Moon around. I'd say there's a little bit of star trailing but this could also be camera shake and I've plans to correct the latter. I haven't done any dark frame subtraction. Hopefully, I'll get in a few more attempts.

Thanks, Graham. It's more of a challenge than the Pleiades because of its large size. One reason I like to tackle it is because it is not photographed that often. Everyone (including me!) does M42 and M45.

I did this on a moonless night and also used dark frames.
