Comets scotttilley6 – caught a nice Catalina despite being very close to a bright Venus.... DSO Sheila has managed to get the horse and flame despite the lack of subs, nice one..... Graham has made a nice start on IC410..... And Graham is back with yet more IC410..... Rob has managed to produce a lovely M42...... Sheila is back again with more data on the horse and flame, looking good...... Dave has produced a beautiful M1..... Andy has captured some good detail in this M42, I like the colour choice..... Sunny Phil has captured the Hyades, a sight not often captured..... Ibbo has produced a lovely IC63, love the colour...... Graham is back again with even more IC410...... Double stars. None Lunar Rob has produced a fantastic shot of the moon, with some fantastic focus and lovely colour..... Picture not on EMS so cannot judge but a good effort none the less ..... Nicky has produced a fantastic shot of the moon and even got it with a dob!!!!..... Rob has got a beautiful close up shot of the Copernicus crater, love the detail on the peaks and crater walls....... Philjay has caught some fine detail with this shot..... Philjay is at it again, a lovely close up....... Sunny Phil has managed to get some detail, especially around the terminator..... Planet None Sketching None Solar Steve has produced a nice full disc shot of our local star..... Steve is at it again with another full disc shot, cracking detail, lots of activity both on and off the surface..... Philjay has produced another corker of the sun, with some fantastic detail..... Philjay caught another good quarter or so of the sun, nice detail on the surface there..... Beautiful false colour shot of the sun from Steve, fantastic detail..... Another nice shot of our local star from Steve...... Philjay has produced another beauty full disc shot...... Sunny Phil produced a shot of the sun, managed to get some detail...... Wide field Nice shot from Eddy although while the location looks perfect, it could be a bit far of a commute..... Mike has managed to capture some nice aurora activity from one of our dark sites..... But, as always, there can only be 1 winner and Decembers PoTM winner is......... @Celeste with her Christmas eve Moon – taken with a DOB!!!!! Congratulations Nicky, I like the fact you have used a DOB and a DSLR to produce a beautiful moon, with nice sharp detail and wonderful colour. We produce some awesome works don't we Us in our back gardens/dark sites with our modest kit, imaging the cosmos and sharing our joy. Love it.
