Well this should be one of my last images with my 70d as my Astro Modded 450d arrives tomorrow. (expect cloud and rain for another six weeks! - Sorry!) About 40x90sec on star adventurer and using my kit lens as my Tokina 11-16 also arrives back from 3legged thing tomorrow after being ejected prematurely from there tripod head six weeks ago:wacko:

There's a lot of stars there, it took me a while to get my bearings.

Don't worry about the rain, I have webbed feet now and I think I have gills beginning to form.

Back to the rain again today Martyn. I had a go with my Modded 450d last night before the clouds rolled in.  Only did 50 sec subs and was surprised how much light pollution I get here. I can only think its the glow from Lincoln about 20 miles away. May have to invest in a clip in astronomik filter! (more expense, and I was doing this on the cheap!!!)

I saw a quote a couple of years ago saying that "nobody does constellations". Well, I can look at this picture and wonder why we don't do more. I love these types of shot.
