Hello everybody, just saying hello and its great to be part of a forum where other members are in the same part of the country as myself.

I've always been interested in the stars and space from being young, but only had my own astronomy equipment about a year and a half/two years.

I live on the outskirts off Chesterfield, Derbyshire and like to go out into the peak when i have the chance, i also do quite a bit on the back garden if i don't get the chance to travel out.

I am still very much learning and hope i can pick up a few things from other members. I started out with a skywatcher explorer 5.1" reflector but have since sold that and i am awaiting delivery of my new scope tomorrow. My equipment is as follows;

Skywatcher evostar 80ED DS pro refractor

EQ5 Pro goto mount

Opticstar AG 131m autoguider

Antares 10x60 guidescope

Canon 70d

Samyang 14mm 2.8(used for astro landscapes)

I hope to share some images with you when i get my new scope, but i do have a few i can share with you for the time being taken not too long ago.

Thanks for taking the time to drop in and you can also join my Facebook page if you wish to do so, created for midland astronomers.

Thankyou, simon
