I don't live in the East Midlands but found this forum and rather liked the discussions. Still do, actually. I don't have a big budget but like to think I do quite a lot with what I've got. My fave object is the Sun but I had a DSLR for my last (60th) birthday and a Coronado PST for my 50th. I post blog updates from time to time to show people what I get up to, even the things that don't work.

 

I like most of the deep sky long exposure stuff but don't have the kit or clear enough skies to do them. However, I find plenty to observe and snap without either and am probably one of the most prolific viewers and snappers around.
