Just brought my self Lunt Solar 6 x 30 Bins they are not bad you can see Sun spots they are white light only but the Sun shows up in Red

Bet they are really handy. :2thumbsup:

 

Just make sure you don't accidentally pick up your other bins and look at the sun :o

They are very light weight so easy to hold it seems very strange to point bins at the Sun you have to small focus at the eye piece end I will bring them to SGL 11 and EMS 5

I got my inspiration from a magazine by Phil Harrington in 2001. I built my own solar filters. Although I intend to photograph the Sun through telescopes, I check the Sun through my filtered 15x70 binoculars more often. Sometimes I'm too busy or there's a lot of cloud around. Today, for example, I checked the Sun and saw 2 sunspots close together.
