Members will be aware that we have arranged a visit to the Malcom Parry observatory at The Long Eaton school on the same night instead. This is a members visit only. If members haven't received details please contact me. Our informal Shipley park meet on the last Thursday of the month will go ahead as usual, and we will be returning to the fire station in March with a speaker, details to follow. tuckstar Posted February 12, 2016 Author Share Posted February 12, 2016 Many thanks to Mike and the long eaton school for a great visit. Mike gave a great talk about the history, uses and aims of the school with the observatory. Even squeezed in a science demo. Followed by a tour of the dome and a good look at the scopes.
