Solar viewing at Shipley Park Sat 4th of June

Recommended Posts

Tomorrow (Saturday) we will be at Shipley park visitor centre with a solar display and some telescopes set up with special filters to allow visitors to safely view our star, the Sun.
We will be in the court yard of the visitors centre from 10 am, feel free to drop by and say hello.

I'll be there - but won't be able to bring a scope this time though.

Cheers

It was a slow day at Shipley park today. We did get some glimpses of the sun between the clouds, but trust us to pick the one day in two years that there's no white light activity!!

Next solar day will be our usual visit to Kirk Hallams lake side festival in July. Details to follow.

Was thinking about you lot and the weather this afternoon. My forecast has been predicting sunshine after about 3pm, but we may have had a total of 15 minutes of sun on and off so far in Mansfield.
