Daz Type-R Posted June 6, 2016 Share Posted June 6, 2016 1st off I need to hold my hands up as I completely forgot it was my turn to judge picture of the month, then I went away for a week and then came back off my jollies to some more stuff to sort out, so sorry for the delay. You lot have certainly been busy in May, with @Ibboand @philjay taking loads of solar shots, in fact, they took so many between them it took me ages just to look through them alone, never mind anybody else's, well done chaps, there have been some corking solar shots, keep em coming. So here is a round up of May's submissions....... Comets / Asteroids / Meteors and Meteorites. None. DSO’s Double / Binary Stars None. Lunar Plantery. Sketching Solar Widefield None. As you can see, a lot of entries to go through, but as always, there can only be 1 winner, I narrowed it down this month to 4 pictures, submitted by 3 different people, so without further a do, this months winner is.............. @DeanWatson with his cracking shot of Jupiter. I like this picture as there is loads going off for just 1 target, we have the GRS, 2 moons, a shadow of one of the moons, obviously the banding and some barges within the clouds bands as well, awesome stuff. What with paying off my mortgage and buying a new car yesterday its turning into a reasonably good month...! Regardless, still plenty of cracking images with everyone else.
