My wife and I take it in turns to get up when the dogs start barking which is usually between four and five in the morning so we tend to go to bed about ten thirty, over the last few days the sky has been fairly free from cloud and as it has been quite warm at that time of day I Set my camera on my eq3-2 mount looking out of the open patio doors and the laptop with

Backyard EOS running. OK all set to snap something, possibly the moon, but no, could'nt get a sharp focus so in the end, just as my wife got up, I gave up, so last night I put my bins on my Horizon 8151tripod just to look at the moon, but this morning was 100% cloud !!! I must have angered some sky God or other but I will have plenty of opportunities before the cold weather sets in.

That's how it works!

It will only be clear on the mornings your wife gets up, or if you have to be somewhere else, or can't find your bins etc.! ?
