Taken through the 127EDT with the little Oly EM D 10 mirrorless CSC camera Conditions were poor so it didn't stand up to sharpening much but it was nice to have a play. 17 from 20 subs, each sub ISO200. 125 asa. Registax and PS. Slight cropping to square the image up The 950mm focal length means the moon is nice and big on the micro 4/3 chip, I tried the Nikon full frame afterwards and the image scale was way smaller Big Al, Johnnyaardvark, +Bino-viewer and 2 others 5 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yep it certainly was boiling Martyn, with the moon low plus thin whispy cloud propagated by con trails it wasn't stable at all. Out of interest, for comparison, here is how the moon looked through the Nikon Df on the same scope just after. I wanted to check the image scale with the Nikon. The Oly being micro 4/3rds the moon fits nicely but with the full frame Df it's a bit lost. I did this 1st then slapped a barlow on but by the time I got everything focused with the barlow the moon wasn't useable. However, with barlow, the moon filled the frame of the Df nicely so I may have a go at that sometime in the near future.
