Ta folks it was nice to get the Meade running smoothly at F7.5. My ambition is to go for M1 the Crab this winter with this set up and put a few hours in (weather permitting) so Im gradually ironing the bugs out of me and the gear ready.

Great colour in the stars and nice core. Did you stretch the image much?

Yeah Steve quite a bit in levels and curves bit at a time to avoid blowing the core, then a bit of dodge and burn (you can tell I use film) with Shadow and Highlights.

Well the atik osc seems to work quite agreeably with the meade [emoji106] some nice diffraction spikes. I really need to get out and have a play... been too long.

I wondered who would spot the spikes. A bit of artistic license care of Noels Actions. You dont get spikes with this set up but it adds a little bit. I used to stretch cotton across the objective but that gave spikes on everything, this is a bit less busy doing it this way
