Hi Pete,

  I'm an iPhone kinda guy, so can't try this, however, I have found this good for running on a PC..

  I've centred it on the Belper Dark Sky Site (or pretty close!)

Yeah thats what I use, pretty good site.  I also use this for the weather http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/observation/map/gcqvwq0m0#?map=SatelliteVis&fcTime=1477197000&zoom=5&lon=-1.53&lat=53.01

good for checking the cloud cover, set for the Belper area and the visable satellite but can change at the bottom right to IR satellite and rain.  Also use the clearoutside site for a rough idea.
