Popular Post philjay Posted November 2, 2016 Popular Post Share Posted November 2, 2016 This was just for a laugh and to say that I had done it, my Nikon Df ("not going to be used for astro imaging only arty stuff") camera was pointed at M31 last night for 10 60 second subs at ISO 32,00 with the 80-400 Nikkor lens at F5.6. 1 minute subs were almost washed out with LP because its not modded and I don't have a LP filter for it. The Df has superb low light performance at high ISOs so I put it to test. 32,000 was about the fastest I dared I did consider iso 12800 for a brief moment but that would have been daft. So here it is at 300mm. Heavily cropped to remove vignetting, major gradients due to LP and severely processed to remove LP but I got somat with it and its not as posh as others you see but for 10 minutes Im not complaining +TasKiNG, Big Al, Bassinghamobservatory and 5 others 8 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
