A lambasting on Bonfire night! ?

Got caught out the other night... again!
It was Nov 4th... our local bonfire night...!
So my wife and I, my daughters and five grandkids all got together to enjoy the delights of our local bonfire night, down at Rainworth welfare, a visiting fair, a huge bonfire and an excellent firework display attracting thousands of people...

It was time for the main event, the firework display, we all huddled together in a good spot (it was freezing), whiz, bang, oohs and aaa's etc.
Anyway I had noticed the clouds were pretty thin and far between, facing the firework display the Summer Triangle was clear and bright etc.

After five minutes of fireworks, standing at the back of our group, I about faced and started studying the hyades, then the Pleiades, working my way up to Cassiopeia and down to Perseus... until my daughter collared me! I was the only one in the crowd standing and staring in the opposite direction!!! So I got a lighthearted lambasting off everyone for  the rest of the evening - for not letting go of my favourite hobby for ten minutes...

I only regretted not sneaking my Vixen 2.1 bins with me, I shall be taking them along next year! ??

just thought I would share that one with you, I am sure you have all been there before... ☺️?
