Orion and Friends from La Palma

Took this in La Palma with the Canon 1300 and the bog standard lens that came with it.

I took my little Adventurer mount to sit it on.

 

Had an awful time trying to get DSS to accept the CR2 Raw files an ended up converting them to DNG files using Adobe software.

 

The image is composed of 146 30 second subs which were stacked and adjusted in DSS and that is it, no Photoshop as that is on the obs computer.

The pic below has been reduced down to 25% of the original size in paint to post on here.

Nice one Graham, so that's Rigel at the top??

That looks great, a few DSO's in there including a slight fuzz of M78 if you look closely. 

 

Would love to see the full res version, perhaps you could post a link to it.

Of course - upside down near the equator - I've only ever seen that from S. Africa - nice one.

Should be rotated about 45degrees clockwise.
