Evening folks, hope you are enjoying your New Year celebrations!

My name is Chris and I live in Nottingham. I have been interested in Astronomy for most of my life but have only just got into stargazing and I have a lot to learn.

This xmas I purchased a 2nd hand Celestron 114LCM and am planning on using it for both photography and for observing.

Hoping to get along to any meets that are organised in the new year.

Chris

Hi Chris, a warm welcome to EMS.

If you have any questions, just shout up, someone will be along to help out.

You have a few good objects to be starting the year with, Venus and Mars in the Evening and Jupiter in the Morning. The Moon will be starting to show again soon and that is always good to spend time on.

Enjoy the forum. :)
