Taken with 130EDT APO using an unmodified EOS450D.

48x10 minute subs @ISO800.

Calibrated with BIAS, FLATS, DARK FLATS in DSS

Processed in Photoshop.

I'm quite surprised at the result considering I didn't use any Darks at all.

Very nice. I'm surprised how well the un-modded 450 has picked up the Ha. Good scope the 130EDT innit!

it is a good scope innit. I'm loving the much lower maintenance compared to my old Quattro 8s.

The camera is getting modified next week so watch this space for an updated version shot with the greater Ha response once it's modified.

I think I got away with the lack of darks due to the dithering between each exposure

Not my "first" image Darren......just the first one I'm happy with. lol

my other images are on my facebook page and they're ok but this is the first time I've managed to collect a large amount of data.

The camera is going off to have a filter mod while you have my mount Graham. Seeing as The Rosette Nebula has still got plenty of time to cross my imaging window (rises above my house around 9pm) before the nights draw out, I'll be having another go at it once the camera returns. :)

Thanks for your comments guys.

It's only recently that I've been happy to start showing what I've been up to.

Think I'm almost 1/4 of the way up the steep learning curve now.
