Fantastic job, finding that again now it's at nearly 10th mag. What time did you get up for it?

Could you re-post those links please.

Thanks Pete.  I didn't actually go to bed.  I think the comet is up by 1am, but I was imaging around 3-4am when it was overhead.  I didn't go to bed until 7am.  I'll get those links from Facebook again on the rocket; I had a feeling they weren't going to work when I pressed return and it didn't change into an icon-like link that happens in Facebook.

I have to say, I found it extremely hard work physically to do the job, so it's good to hear people like the results.  I may try for comet Johnson next.

If the links don't work, you might have to paste them into a browser. It may be a Facebook thing. But I see one of the links is now showing a photo of a satellite.

Great stuff Derek.

Keep posting these comets and asteroids up, even when they are not very bright. They are very interesting to see.

We better get ready for Friday nights spectacular comet display. :)

Don't you just love these news reports...

A beautiful, shining comet flying through the sky is a rare thing. But this week it's not even going to be the rarest.

Friday night wll in fact see that comet – a green, shining light followed by a purple trail, known as 45P/Honda-Mrkos-Pajdušáková – joined by a bright, shining full "snow moon" and a lunar eclipse, all at the same time.
