Zodiacal light

Zodacial light did`nt realize what it was at the time should have taken earlier when it was darker like someone shining a torch to the heavens ,magical

IMHO I think you have photographed an atmospheric effect called a sun pillar (still quite rare). Zodiacal light (sunlight scattered by space dust) is very very faint and usually only seen in the darkest skies. It would also follow the plane of the ecliptic (zodiac) so would be at a shallow angle to the horizon in the UK.

I saw this on my way to work yesterday. As Pete said it's a sun pillar. Great photo.
