No room to pack my telescope but took my SLR and captured this on Saturday night. 130 off 30s exposures at 1600 ISO with 20mm f2.8 lens on Nikon D610. I tried doing this from Sherwood in Nottingham a few times, but light pollution was so bad the photo was just all yellow/orange. So one day I used my mum and dads old record player to turn it quicker. The results were> not great . Was worth a try. This was about 30 odd years ago BTW. Very nice image!
