I've used a bar stool for years, they are perfect for the job. Mine rises and falls at a touch of a lever, perfect as an astro stool.

I've got a musicians chair that FLO sell by Mey chair systems.

It cost around £90 (cheaper than FLO if you buy direct from Germany) but its one of my best astro purchases i think.

Built like a tank, there is no damper to fail in the future, it tilts and will outlast me, i'm sure.

Lidl ironing chair, cheap as chips, simple to use and quite comfy even when set real low.

Had mine, ooh must be about 10 years plus now, and still going strong.

If you move over to the dark side you can sit in your favourite arm chair or even lay on the sofa
