Shipley park solar day 3rd of June.

Recommended Posts

This Saturday we will once again be returning to Shipley park for part one of our annual two part solar viewing.

We will have telescopes set up in the courtyard of the visitor centre, weather depending, with special filters to allow safe viewing of the sun, and a static display in the visitor centre which will stay up until we return on the 24th for part two.

Everyone welcome from 10am till 4pm.

Never look directly at the sun without the correct equipment and knowledge!!

Looks like it will be a good day for it with just a few clouds drifting by. :)

Have a great day.

I hope to stop by Shipley in the afternoon and have a peek.

Well we did get some views of the sun and manged to show a fair few people the sun in white light and Ha, and some views of Venus. The cloud beat us in the end.

We will be returning to Shipley Park on the 24th and hopefully the skies will be a bit clearer.
