hi everyone,

Turned 50 last Friday and my best mate rob surprised me by buying me a Tele Vue 31mm Nagler 5 for my birthday..still feel overwhelmed.

anyway I think that's why is been raining ever since lol.

cannot wait to try it out on both my startravel 120 F5 and the 14" dob F4.9. will do a little report when I get to try it out.

Now thats what I call a mate ;)

 

You will love the eyepiece, I have one and it's my most used eyepiece, one word describes it and that is awesome.

well been best mates 38ish years or so. was a big surprise to be sure when I saw the eyepiece. may even lets rob use it on his C9.25 scope..lol

I have one too ; its the oldest one in my case.

I've had it 10 years now and i'll not be parting with it.

Funny , that eyepiece in your case. Your other eyepieces are fairly big, but that's a mammoth grenade of an eyepiece. ?

The Nagler 31 is a massive and superb eyepiece, but it can be made to look almost average. :)

That is an ES 30mm 100 degree 3" eyepiece. :)

 

There are even bigger and heavier eyepieces around but not for use on most backyard scopes...

Mr. Nagler got this rather fat(ty) eyepiece for his 79th birthday. :)
