Main Meeting:  Tuesday June 13th 2017  (The Hayloft, Erewash Museum, Ilkeston)

Our main meetings have returned to our traditional meeting place of The Hayloft, Erewash Museum, High Street, Ilkeston, Derbyshire, DE7 5JA.  The Hayloft doors will be open at 7pm, and we’ll have access to the facilities for three hours. This should be ample time to organise and conduct our meetings.

This month we welcome back the ever-popular Paul Money, who will be giving a talk entitled “Triumphs of Voyager part one: Journey to Jupiter/Splendours of Saturn.  Hope you can all come along, to see and hear a great entertainer and educator.

That's it for now - bye.

Mark Thomas (IDAS Secretary)

A big thank you to Paul Money for a really interesting and enjoyable talk. Voyager missions out to Saturn, the rest to follow in part 2 of the talk in October.

You soon forget how much data those missions produced, and still produce, for what we would now call antique technology.

Was interesting to see some of the Jupiter data treated to modern processing techniques, and what secrets where hidden away.

Looking forward to part two.
