Popular Post Doc Posted June 26, 2017 Popular Post Share Posted June 26, 2017 Had a trip to Crowle Moor today in Lincolnshire. It's a stronghold for Large Heath butterflies. We saw four but was only able to take photographs of one, the rest flew into the bogs. I think the beetle is a female Stictoleptura rubra, the Red-brown Longhorn Beetle. The males usually have some black on the legs and back of the head.
