Sun's core rotates four times faster than its surface

Like the earth's core then does the same thing (we are told!) - guess it shouldn't be a surprise.

Dont be daft, the Earth doesn't have a core, its flat!!!

yes but earth's core only rotates to give an extra 1/4 turn every 100 years (i think :wacko: )  where as this is 4 times faster :o  quite a bit really :lol:

Thats because the Sun has a bigger elastic band turning the inner core.:D

 

Would have expect the Suns rotation to be even higher considering its mass , core size and thermal activity in relation to the Earth - but probably doesn't work that way.

Now I've actually seen a few turtles, but never realised they grew that big! :o
