yes but earth's core only rotates to give an extra 1/4 turn every 100 years (i think  )  where as this is 4 times faster   quite a bit really

Thats because the Sun has a bigger elastic band turning the inner core.

 

Would have expect the Suns rotation to be even higher considering its mass , core size and thermal activity in relation to the Earth - but probably doesn't work that way.

Now I've actually seen a few turtles, but never realised they grew that big!
