Nicely done Sheila, I am looking forward to seeing this again visually. You never know, you might even stick the old mark 1 on an eyepiece again. :D

Nice image, I must say I do like the visual look of the Hubble palette colours for H II regions.

That is a lot better Sheila.

So much smoother than the first one.

The background seems to be a lot more balanced as well.

I have a problem, the first image was stacked on a win 8 machine, the second on my old win 7 machine.  there are some awful

coloured artifacts on the first image, bottom right, that dont appear in the second image stacked on my old machine.  All

setting in maxim are the same, but the TIF image produced by the win 8 machine is awful, while the win 7 one is perfect :wacko:

same data for both
