As many of you know, I am suffering an acute dose of meteoritis. Sensible people only check out the known prolific showers. To find out more, use your search engine on International Meteor Organisation or IMO. Not only does it tell you about current and upcoming showers but did you know that solar activity appears to affect meteor numbers?

Also I check out the BAA comet section a couple of times a week.

I've just returned from the IMO's conference in Serbia. Hard getting up in mornings though. Handbook is good and covers a lot of meteor stuff. The 2018 metwor booklet is out which describes the various showers in detail. Lots of useful applications to meteor statistics. The subscription for IMO is quite reasonable.
