+Graham Posted October 7, 2017 Share Posted October 7, 2017 (edited) I use PhD Ron. Maxim guiding is OK but I found it to be a little on the finicky side. PHD seems to be a lot more forgiving. It also means maxim is only dealing with one camera. Probably not a problem with a modern fast computer but mine is getting on a bit. Bit like you and me. fwm891 Posted November 23, 2017 Share Posted November 23, 2017 I use Maxim DL 6.11 for goto and guiding of my iOptron 45 Pro using a lodestar (old version) with little problem, also controlling my lakeside focuser and xagyl filterwheel. My biggest problem with maxim on start up is getting it to see all the attachments. I have to load iOptron's Commander software first.
