Piggy backed an old ST 80 on top of my imaging rig and used the Point Grey Black fly camera just to see what the result would be. Had to wait until 2 am for the smoke and clouds to clear. First attempt was not that great so I stopped the ST 80 down using the removable centre on the dust cap. This is a 10,000 frame AVI stacked in Registax at the best 95% quality. Slight touch of wavelets. Saved as a TIFF and then put through the new program I use for the solar images. Very slight polish in PS 6 mainly to lighten the sky. Click on the image a few times for full res. Dropbox seems to be having a fit at the moment it should catch up I hope. It looks a little soft to me and wondered if it was due to the time over which it was running for. Probably not then. I use a SW electronic focuser but it is set up for a 10 - 1 ratio focuser the ST 80 only has a standard R & P. +Ibbo Posted November 5, 2017 Share Posted November 5, 2017 When using a webcam that has gamma control, for focus drop the gamma a bit to increase contrast.
