Doc Posted November 26, 2017 Share Posted November 26, 2017 The originals in the early eighties were the ones everyone thought were brilliant, these are the new ones, I doubt if they are made by the same company. The originals are very expensive and highly sort after. If you read the report they don't get a great report, in a few places Bill says the ES68° are better. Tweedledee Posted November 26, 2017 Share Posted November 26, 2017 (edited) I think the Masuyama eps look quite nice and are a bit different from the outside, but they don't seem to be a popular one in the UK. They do quite a range of focal lengths right up to this heavyweight. Anyone with a long slow refractor might like these 3" 80mm Masuyama's, especially now they have been reduced from $2199.00 to just $1799.00 in Agena Astro's thanksgiving sale. What a bargain!!!! They are a massive 213mm tall and 110mm wide! Don't think they'd work in the binoviewer Rob.
