StuartJPP Posted December 23, 2017 Share Posted December 23, 2017 Haven't been on here for a while but since I image from just outside Horncastle I thought it was appropriate to show how lucky some of you are with your rural skies...instead of my usual light polluted Leeds sky which I don't bother to image under to be honest. Baader modified Canon 6D at ISO 1600 Canon 500mm f/4 L IS lens at f/4 Avalon Instruments M-Zero Polar Alignment using homemade PoleMaster PHD2 for guiding using QHY5L-II-M and QHYCCD MiniGuideScopeAPT for image acquisition, GOTO++, framing, plate solving, and dithering. SQM (according to Unihedron SQM-L) was ~20.77. Total of ~120 subs of varying quality of 300 seconds each (totalling ~10 hours) Just the core: Full frame: Thanks for looking! Hi Graham, I was only using an IDAS light pollution filter however I won't be in the future as the street lights in Baumber have been changed from sodium to LED.
