The only way is to take another set of images at a fast shutter speed say 10 seconds or less.

Process these and then crop the centre out, you then blend the cropped image onto this image using a mask in Photoshop.

could try masking that area off during processing to see if it makes a difference on that set

try one layer with only a bit of a stretch and layer it on top of the other one and use a layer mask to rub out what come through

Layers using different exposure time subs, called compositing in the old days but basically start with your long exposure with the core blown out as your background then slap on top of that a layer copied from a shorter exposure image of the core. Blend as Steve says then flatten layers. Then do the same again but with an image taken with even shorter exposures so eventually you end up rebuilding the core from shorter exposure images.
