I'm still very much on the learning curve here. My compact digital camera has packed up, so I'm learning to use my DSLR for afocal shots with my PST. Those "in the know" are familiar with the low focus travel of the PST, so I've always used afocal on it, as I like to get a shot with the full disc. OK, I would get better results with a 999mm APO and fuel-injected, turbo-charged solar filter, but I don't think this is bad for a stone age effort on a quiet Sun.
