Hi Guys

Has anyone done any guided imaging with a skywatcher 200p on an eq5 Mount?

I have an st80 to use as a guide scope.

Any constructive comments would be very useful

Hi Graham, I have done some guided AP using a MN190 (same size as a 200p+glass!) but on an HEQ5 Pro.  I'm not sure the EQ5 would cope with the weight of a 200p, st80, guide camera and a camera as well, you may need to set it all up and see how it balances and moves??!

Cheers

Ron

I attempted using the EQ5 with the 200P and a finder/guider with limited success, swapped to a 70ED with some satisfying results. Think the 200P is to much like a sail.

Try the ST80 with a finder guider.

I used to run a 200 Helios newt on my old EQ5.

Guiding was St 80 and a webcam.

Worked ok provided it was calm.

Image capture was a 350 canon.
