Cut throat bridge & Padley Gorge birding trip

Recommended Posts

Had a great day today we went to Cut Throat Bridge and Padley Gorge both in Derbyshire. We saw three male Rimg Ouzels at Cut Throat Bridge, the first one was quite distant but the next two we had close up views, also around were numerous Red Grouse.

Off to Padley Gorge next and what a place to go, it's wonderful, I been there so many times and it looks like a set out of Lord of the rings. We had cracking views down to 30 foot of 3 male Pied Flycatchers and 2 female ones. Once out of the woods we got the best views ever of 2 male and 2 female Redstarts. The male Redstart must be the best looking bird ever, it's a sight I will never forget, makes me want a good birding photography set up next. We also saw 2 Tree Pipits as well.
